Welcome

I am the proud and happy owner of a Casio PX-330 electric piano, and this blog is devoted to various subjects concerning it.

My technical ability to play piano is rather limited, but by using the advanced features of this instrument I still manage to get hours of enjoyment. My usual way to use my PX-330 is to select a "music preset", customize its rhythm and tone settings, and then improvise with one hand against the resulting accompaniment.

As a first project, I'm hoping to put up 10 posts every week, each post being about a different "music preset" (occasionally I'll take a week off from posting in order to try to invest more research time into improving old posts). Comments are welcome, and useful information from comments will be edited into the blog posts. The posts will be edited continuously as more information is gathered, so this is more like a moderated wiki than a real blog.

Various notational conventions:
  1. Layered tones will be given in the form "MainTone + LayeredTone (layer balance : NN)" [note that the PX-330 displays the name of the LayeredTone in its display, not the MainTone]
